Bring a little calm into your space with this set of four digital posters, designed to be printed and displayed side‑by‑side as two paired artworks. Each print features the phrase “Hā ki roto, hā ki waho” - breathe in, breathe out - a gentle reminder to slow the body, soften the mind, and return to steady ground.
These posters have been intricately designed by Jasmine Iona, from The Art Therapist. Jasmine’s thoughtful, detailed work allows Rebecca to stay fully present in the therapy room, while she brings our creative vision to life behind the scenes.
Breathing in and breathing out is one of the simplest and most powerful tools for regulation. Slow, intentional breaths help settle the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and support children and adults to find calm in moments of overwhelm. These prints offer a visual cue that invites a pause - a soft reminder to come back to the body.
Perfect for classrooms, kindergartens, therapy rooms, doctors’ rooms, offices, and homes, this set brings beauty and grounding to any environment that benefits from a moment of stillness.

These posters were designed with therapeutic intention at their core. As a Registered Clinical Creative Arts Therapist, I created this set to offer a simple, steadying cue for regulation. “Ha ki roto, ha ki waho” - breathe in, breathe out - is a gentle rhythm that supports the body to settle, the mind to soften, and the nervous system to reset.
Slow, intentional breathing activates the parasympathetic system, helping children and adults move from overwhelm toward calm. The colours were chosen to be soft and grounding, and the kupu are held in Te Ao Māori, honouring the wisdom and wairua of breath as a life‑giving force.
This resource is designed for classrooms, kindergartens, therapy rooms, doctors’ rooms, workplaces, and homes - anywhere a reminder to pause might make the day a little easier.
